Whenever a new pastor comes to a church–especially a Lead or Senior Pastor–there are bound to be changes at some point. No pastor is the same, and that’s okay. We can trust the Chief Shepherd to be our main shepherd and that He knows what He’s doing in bringing different pastors to different churches for various seasons.
In my opinion, right now is a time for all of us to ask King Jesus two main questions:
- Is there something you want to do in me that you haven’t yet done in the past?
- Is there something you want me to do for you that I haven’t yet done in the past?
Praying these things regularly is important during the first several months or year of my tenure as pastor at LHBC. Since I’m asking you to pray these prayers, I’m committing to start praying them too.
