Lake Hills and everyone else who has invested in me and given me opportunities to serve the Lord: thank you. I’m overwhelmed and my spirit is brimming with joy in the reality that I get to do this. I get to pastor you. I get to preach God’s Word. I get to serve an amazing staff and wonderful deacons and great people. I get to wrestle with the Bible (and lose) and pour out my heart to you week after week. AND YOU PAY ME TO DO IT! It’s just crazy.
Being a pastor is the most challenging, maddening, beautiful, humbling, rewarding, wonderful “occupation” I could ever have. I am so privileged, and I’m grateful. So, thank you, everyone, for letting me do this. I pray the Lord will be honored and may I serve Him faithfully as long as He will let me.
